Actually this isn't my first dog scrapbook. My first one was of my 4th dog in my life who died too early due to illness at the age of 5. There really isn't a formal way to grieve for a pet, so that scrapbook helped me do just that. I have tear stains on that album from crying my way through the whole project, but it was so good for me. Just like when a human passes on, you look through old photos and talk about memories.
Ok, so onto the album!
Not sure if you can tell, but I stamped her paw (yes, she loved that-
Not!) on the front of the Simple Stories kraft binder with
Chocolate Chip Stampin' Up ink.Bella's name was cut using my
Cameo and the KG Blank Spaces font downloaded from
Dafont.com. That bold font was used through the album as well.
I used brown pawprint ribbon and a dog tag
both purchased from Etsy to decorate the cover.
I divided the album with chipboard dividers in 4 categories
like Stacy Julian's Library of Memories system.
The first one is All About Bella.
The 6x8 prints were ordered through Persnickety.
The left page is the original website listing
from the rescue we got Bella from.
The 2nd divider is We Love Bella.
The 3rd divider is Things Bella Does.
Summertime was cut from my Cameo.
Fall Fun was cut from my Cameo.
Santa Bella was cut from my Cameo.
And the last divider is Places Bella Goes.
Car Rides! was cut using my Cameo.
So there it is, a completed album with 3 years of my pup's life that was a lot of fun to make! The most time this album took was picking out and printing the photos, and then waiting for the Etsy ribbon to arrive. Otherwise, this was a weekend project. All 2x8 papers were cut from Simple Stories Daily Grind paper basics set or their Color Vibe Lights paper pack.
Thanks for looking! If your pet is family to you, then make sure he or she is documented!
