Here's my card:

  • Tag from Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge page 35 using the Tags creative feature

  • Stampin' Up Crystal Effects for glossy look on watermelon seeds
  • Xmas Red and Lime Green Stickles (think I like them a bit?!)
That's about it for my card. Hopefully I can get one more project in by the end of the weekend. I hope your weekend is fun and full of craftiness, too!

These Autumn Leaves Christmas Seals clear stamps would be perfect for your holiday cards and projects! Each stamp measures almost 2 1/2 inches in diameter, so they are rather large. Christmas will be here before we know it, so getting a jump start on crafty creations would be nice, right?

My Kids' Cute Craft Camp Creations!

WARNING: Pic heavy post!!!

As promised (FINALLY), here are pics of the adorable projects my girls made last week at their craft camp at our new church:

Older daughter's projects

Younger daughter's projects

Day 1 - Message board
This one is my fave.
I want them to make me one! :)

Day 2 - Mobile
So cute! Sad but my girls' clothes
don't fit on these little hangers anymore. :(

Day 3 - Decorated Photo Box
Already filled with their pre-teen treasures! :)

Day 4 - Mini Scrapbook made from
Caribou Coffee cup wrapper
Clever, huh? Being green AND being crafty - what a combo! :)

Day 5 - Dream Banner
So sweet! It should definitely promote
good dreams while hung in a bedroom!

Aren't these creations great? My younger daughter would send me a photo of the craft they made each day while I was at work, so that told me they were pretty excited about their projects. I know I was! I wish I was in that camp instead of doing boring office work at my job!!

Well, I'm off to make a crafty project myself since I'm on weekend time now - YES! I was given a couple of GENEROUS gift cards at work this week, so I'm going to crank out another thank you card. See you soon! Have a FABULOUS weekend!

Peeking Bear Wishes BIG!

Ok, so here I am again posting, but still no project photos from my kids' craft camp yet. I know!! I've started to gather the projects and have taken some pics, so it will definitely be my next post. We're going to our county fair tomorrow night, though, so I may not get to it until the weekend. I can smell the cotton candy already! :)

Remember that triple scoop ice cream cone birthday card I made last week? Well, the little girl that will receive that card is a twin, so that means I need another birthday card for her brother - LOL!

Here is that card, which will also be my current Scrappy Moms' Terrific Tuesday challenge entry:

Supplies:
  • Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge for cake-shaped card base and cake layers
  • Cricut Campin' Critters cartridge for peeking bear
  • Recollections blue cardstock for base, scraps from stash for all other cardstock
  • "Wish Big!" and "Happy, Happy Birthday! sentiments from Scrappy Moms' Simple Sentiments Stamp set
  • Versa Black ink
  • Ranger clear embossing powder (may not show well, but the front sentiment is embossed)
  • Marvy Uchida embossing gun
  • Foam adhesive dots for frosting layers and candle wax layer
  • Xmas Red, Lime Green, True Blue, Yellow, Crystal and Cinnamon Stickles
I happen to know that this family likes yellow cake, so I went with yellow for my cake card. And I know that I used Birthday Bash for the majority of this project, but the peeking bear counts, right? My daughters loved the bear the most about this card.

This card will also be entered into Die Cuttin' Divas' Challenge # 25 - Sweet Treats! That is yet another challenge blog that I have been enjoying and playing along lately.

Well, that's all for now. Thanks for visiting my happy place! I am so appreciative for all of my followers - especially the ones I have recently gained! I would love to hit 100! And I'm looking forward to reaching 10,000 hits! Thank you all for your bloggy love!

I Shore Love You! Baptismal Birthday Card

I am blessed to have 5 godchildren, and I take that position very seriously!  :) If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll see that I give treats/gifts to my godkids for 6 different occasions: Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Birthday and Baptismal Birthday. This is to let them know that I am thinking of them and praying for them - my most important duty as a Godmother.

For baptismal birthdays, I make a card for them and give an ice cream gift card inside of it. My Godson, Nicholas' special day is next week, so I made this card for him:

Supplies:
  • Cricut Create A Critter cartridge for whale, starfish and shell
  • Stampin' Up Marina Mist cardstock for card base, scraps for remaining pieces
  • Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing folder for the "water"
  • Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder for whale front
  • "I Shore love you"" sentiment from Scrappy Moms' Sun Kissed stamp set
  • Versa Ink black ink pad
  • Ranger clear embossing powder and Marvy Uchida embossing gun
  • Inspiration from Scrappy Mel's blog - Thank you, Mel!
  • Ranger Liquid Pearl White Opal dimensional pearlescent paint for shell
  • Waterfall Stickles for water out of spout
  • Stampin' Up black marker for doodling on starfish
  • Fiskars wavy scissors (for front and tag)
  • Natural twine
  • Foam adhesive dots for whale and starfish
  • 2Peas Sitcom font for tag and inside wording
  • Uni-ball Signo white gel pen
Phew!! What a list! Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
  1. Birthday Sundaes Challenge # 19 - Inspiration Photo (see it below -yum!)
  2. My Craft Spot Challenge # 18 - Emboss It!

One last tidbit: Birthday Sundaes challenge blog is having a blog hop on Sunday, July 31st! Hop on over and join the fun! I know I will be! I really enjoy their design team's work. :)

Well that's all for now. I still need to photograph and upload the cute projects my daughters made at their craft camp last week. Maybe I can get that in tomorrow. Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by my happy place! :)

Thanks for Owl You Do! Tag and Gift

My girls attended a fun craft camp at our new church this week! I will post all of the adorable projects they made next week, but this camp wouldn't have been possible for us if one of my friends didn't drive them to and from every day. She is the mom of one of my daughter's friends, so the 3 girls attended this craft camp together and even went to the local community pool in the 100 degree heat after camp yesterday! This working mom soooo appreciates this friend making the fun pool day and week-long camp possible for her girls!!!

In order to properly thank her, I picked up a Target gift card. And of course I have to visit the dollar section every time I'm there, so I also grabbed a little white bucket to put the gift card in. And if you saw my posts from last month, you will know I hit the bi-annual Bath & Body Works sale HARD and picked up lots of lotions and shower gels. The 4 oz Cherry Blossom lotion and shower gel seemed perfect for my little gift bucket! And lastly, my oldest daughter has enjoyed making flower pens as of late, so we placed one of her pink blossom creations in the bucket as well. Ta da! A fun little thank you gift for my friend!

Supplies:
  • Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge for owl and flower-shaped tag
  • Dark pink, light pink, brown and white cardstock from my scraps
  • "Thanks for Owl you do!" sentiment from Scrappy Mom's new Happy Camper stamp set
  • Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip Ink
  • Uni-ball Signo white gel pen
  • Crystal and Cinnamon Stickles
  • Celebrate It Fit to Be Tied dark pink flower ribbon from Michael's

Can you believe it? Yet again I got my new Scrappy Mom stamps in the mail and made something with them the same day! So fun! :)

I have a busy weekend ahead so I will see all of you bloggy friends next week! Happy crafting all!

Sprinkles of Fun! Ice Cream Card

Today was another FANTABULOUS mail day! I received my new Scrappy Moms "Happy Camper" and "Quirky Quotes" stamp sets in the mail! I can't wait to dig in and use them. I already have a couple of cards in mind . . .

Also, I got an email saying that the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch was back in stock and on sale at Joann.com - Woohoo!! I hopped online and ordered that puppy ASAP! I've been wanting it for a while and it's been really hard to find. Looks like once I order my Scrappy Moms Halloween stamp stamp set, I'll be all set to make some spooky fun projects this Fall! I just love that time of year.

Anywho, I'm so happy that Scrappy Moms is being featured on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog this week! Considering that fact and my need for a 6-year old birthday card, I just had to jump into the current FCCB challenge # 69 - I Scream For Ice Cream!

Here's my card:

Supplies:
  • Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge p35 card feature & layers, p31 for sprinkles layers & tag
  • Stampin' Up Kraft cardstock, and pink, ivory & white cardstrock from scraps
  • Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder for cone
  • "Sending You Sprinkles of Fun!" and "Sweet Birthday Wishes" sentiments from Scrappy Moms Sweet Somethings Stamp Set
  • Stampin' Up Pink Passion Ink
  • Scrappy Moms Blossom baker's twine (used glue dot to hold twine & tag in place)
  • Cinnamon, Diamond & Cotton Candy Stickles
And there's my ice cream cone birthday card! I must admit that it really makes me want ice cream - LOL!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges (in addition to FCCB):
We're on the downward slope to the weekend, my fellow crafters- YES! Enjoy the remainder of your week!

You're Golden! for Scrappy Moms' TTC

How cool IS THIS:

A good work friend of mine treated me to a belated birthday lunch this week and got me this amazing wall word art!! I just think this is awesome! I now have to find the perfect place to hang it to inspire me on a daily basis.

And of course to properly thank my good friend and to also participate in the current Scrappy Moms' Terrific Tuesday Challenge, I made this card:

I do think my friend is GOLDEN!
She is so thoughtful and generous with me!

Supplies:
  • Peach cut from the Just Because Cricut cartridge
  • All cardstock (used scraps) and patterned paper from Stampin' Up
  • Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip ink
  • Stampin' Up ticket corner punch
  • "You're Golden" sentiment from Scrappy Moms Sun Kissed stamp set
  • "Thank You" and "Sweet Friend" from Scrappy Moms' Simple Sentiments stamp set (did not ink up exclamation point - added comma with marker)
  • Scrappy Moms' Honeydew baker's twine
  • Yellow(painted on the peach), lime green and cinnamon Stickles glitter glue

This Scrappy Moms' Terrific Tuesday challenge was to use the Cricut Preserves cartridge, but I don't own that one so Just Because served this purpose.

 Here's something else I thought I'd share:

I own all of the Scrappy Moms' bakers twine colors (think I like them a little bit???), but was having a tough time keeping them organized. I saw in the 7/12/11 Chirp newsletter's "Your Notable Tip" section and it showed this idea for twine storage. I ended up making tags from the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge (err, actually my oldest daughter made them), wrapped the twine around, and then attached them to an old key ring. I love it! It made adding the twine to today's card very easy.

And speaking of Scrappy Moms, they released 2 new stamp sets yesterday! And guess who has them on order already (insert sinister giggle here)! Here they are:

"Happy Campers!"
I love camping, so of course this one was a must have!

"Quirky Quotes"
These are just cute sayings,
so this set got added to my cart, too!

You can click on either of the stamp set photos to go to the Scrappy Moms' blog. Gosh, you'd think I work for them, but no - just a crazy crafting fan! :)

Well fellow crafters, I REALLY need to head to the mattress ball. I'm starting to eat into my precious Saturday -ugh! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Stacy Julian On My Craft Channel!

I know I need to get a new project posted, but I've had some summer fun events lately that have kept me away from the craft room. There are some awesome challenges going on, though, so I do want to jump in one or two very soon!

As I was blog-surfing tonight, I saw a post on Gigi's blog, The Cricut Bug about Stacy Julian. I was immediately intrigued! Stacy is one of those crafting superstars that I would LOVE to meet! Better yet, I'd like to have her over to my house to show me in person how to make sense of my scrapbooking mess! I have all of her books (I HIGHLY recommend them!) and I used to subscribe to her Simple Scrapbooks Magazine, which I thoroughly enjoyed and greatly miss.

Stacy has a great scrapbooking system that I really want to start, but I have not done yet. In fact, I'm supposed to be working on this right now while my card needs are at a minimum. Leave me some motivational comments to get me going, please!!!

Back to Stacy-  I read Gigi's post today and it led me to The Craft Channel blog. Apparently Stacy will be on it this Fall - YES! Go check it out and you can possibly win a Cricut E2! I so would love that! :)

Orange you Sweet!!

Yesterday I received 2 new Scrappy Moms stamp sets in the mail! What a FABULOUS day it is when that happens!! And even more shocking, I dove right into them last night and made a thank you card for my BFF! She got me some very nice gifts for my bday last month, so a sweet card was definitely in order.

Here it is:

Supplies:
  • Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge - popsicle pieces cut at 4" (welded on my Gypsy)
  • Light orange and white cardstock from my stash
  • Scrappy Mom's "Orange You Sweet!" sentiment from their Sun Kissed stamp set
  • Scrappy Mom's "Sweet Friend" sentiment from their Simple Sentiments Stamp Set
  • VersaColor 503 Limone Pigment Ink Pad (dark and light orange colors)
  • Stampin' Up Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder
  • Scrappy Mom's Lemon Drop bakers twine
  • Craft popsicle sticks from Michael's
  • Diamond Stickles
  • Stampin' Up Scallop Circle punch (for the "chomp" out of the popsicle)
  • White Uniball Signo Pen (for doodles -Lauren at Lauren's Creative is really rubbing off on me- LOL!)
When I saw that "Orange You Sweet!" Sentiment from the Scrappy Moms' Sun Kissed stamp set, it instantly made me think of a dreamsicle! I'm so happy I got these stamp sets. They make me happy!! :)

Tomorrow is Thursday already - Yes! We're getting closer to another weekend! Gotta love shortened work weeks. Happy crafting all!
